Lessons on music in Denver

Before chrispitchford.com (5 years old next year). Before Databoy and even before Cyber Soul. I studied composition as a music student at Metropolitan State College of Denver (now Metropolitan State University of Denver—ooh). Today, I ran into one of Metro's professors: Walter Barr. I didn't know him, when I was a kid, but I heard he taught the hottest Jazz Band in Bear Creek High School. When I went to Metro State, he joined the faculty before eventually heading the Department of Music. I ran into him at the store while I was with the talented and lovely Kristine Shafer—who also went to Metro, and Walter Barr knew her, of course. I was incredibly honored to be in the august company of two great musicians and instructors!

If I wanted to take Music Lessons I know where I would go! Kristine Shafer teaches music and I think she's awesome.

It was such a surprise and pleasure to see Walter today!  I couldn't believe he remembered me after so long!  I loved attending Metro.  I should contact a couple of professors and coworkers and see what they're up to.  Thanks for mentioning me and music lessons at my studio, Music Lessons of Denver.

I mentioned Dr. Barr to a fellow graduate of the music program. He didn't remember him—at all! He must still be teaching lessons, but not in Denver. He plays viola and lives in New York.

I am at a conference right now, and it reminds of when I spoke at a Music Theory Symposium at Indiana University. I was introduced as "Piss Kritchford" and the moderator turned beet-red.Yesterday and today, moderators have mangled the names of speakers. But, I think I've got them beat!
